SMT Manufacturing Lead (Night Shift)

Summary

Job Purpose:

A hands on role leading a team from 14:00pm until midnight. Responsible for organising all production activities ensuring process and procedures are followed primarily within the SMT area.

Main Duties:

• Lead team who run SMT lines to specified efficiency and process quality levels
• Ensure product meets IPC 610 to the specified class
• Input and preparation of process control documentation
• Ensure you are familiar with the department’s output production targets
• Complete all necessary paperwork and update databases to meet the requirements of the quality management system
• Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process
• Lead team who maintain the highest level workmanship and product standards, and ensure no scrap is created

Person Specification:

• Knowledge of SMT and through hole, including component verification/value identification
• Understanding of SMT,THT processes
• 2D/3D AOI programming experience preferred
• Mydata pick and place machine knowledge is preferred
• Competent IT skills
• Experience within a fast paced high pressured manufacturing environment. Preferably high mix, low volume
• Able and confident in communicating with senior staff
• Strong communicator to all level
• Strong work ethic / highly motivated
• Target driven. Ability to multitask / Attention to detail
• Organised / ability to manage own/team`s workload
• Competent working as part of a team or independently
