In 2010, Section 1502 of the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act required that manufacturers and goods producers audit their supply chains and report conflict minerals usage. The requirements are codified in what is called the “Conflict Mineral Law” to be enforced by the SEC. Since 2010 Axis has helped many of its UK customers who export into the US to manage this requirement using EICC GeSI reporting templates. Axis is fully expecting to be able to assist all its customers prepare similar reporting templates in line with expected EU legislation.
